A smugglers’ haven in the Sahara (25/38)
AGADEZ, NIGER —
Migrants wait for friends and relatives to arrive at the bus station in Agadez, Niger. This city in Central Niger has become the capital of human smuggling in Niger because of it's location at the southern edge of the Sahara desert. Thousands of migrants travel here each month searching for a smuggler to drive them to Libya, Algeria and Morocco as part of their journey to Europe.
