The office of "the River Martyrs", operated and managed by Hisham, the undertaker of the victims from the "River of Martyrs", compiles an image database of all the corpses that have surfaced downstream. Family members searching for missing loved ones regularly visit Hisham's office in their quest to know the fate of their missing family and friends. A group of local residents pour into the office to review the archives - the gruesome head shots of the victims are displayed over a monitor in front of them as the family members try to come up with a positive ID of the missing. Because of the advanced decomposition or the nature of the wounds, many victims are not recognizable through this imagery. Hisham takes hair samples for each of the victims, categorizing them by number and stores each bag in a locked bin.
