A smugglers’ haven in the Sahara

23-year-old Mpoma Bedding Chovis is a native of Cameroon. He worked as a construction worker in his native country but dreams of becoming a professional soccer player. He tried out for division one in Cameroon but said that he was cheated on several occasions by would-be soccer recruiters. "My only dream is to become a professional footballer." <br />
The convoy he was riding in through the Sahara desert ran into a police check-point outside the city of Arlit in north Niger. He and 8 other migrants from Cameroon were  robbed of all their money by the police. He is now hoping to find someone to help him return to Cameroon.
