In the rebel-controlled areas of Aleppo, electricity, cellphone and internet lines have been cut for the 9th consecutive day. The Assad government claims that the rebels are responsible for the blackout. In the case of the internet, activists claim that this is technically impossible, since the Free Syria Army is not capable to cut all internet connections since most of them (three of the main fiber optic cables are located in the coastal city of Tartus), are in regime-controlled areas of Syria.
